These fibers provide excellent mechanical and electrical properties for reinforcement in thermoplastic molding compounds requiring high strength and modulus, low density, electrical conductivity, dimensional stability, low thermal expansion and excellent friction/wear properties. Further important uses include fuel cells, cement reinforcement and applications where enhanced chemical resistance is needed. The sizing type surface treatment can be tailored for individual end uses.Chop Fiber Format has increased bulk density values resulting in more consistent and cleaner flow rates. These fibers “bundles” maintain their integrity when needed most; from the package into and through the hopper. During compounding they distribute easily improving process and product performance.
